Yea I know these are a little late and we are already 4 months into the year, but better late than never.
- Work on my procrastination issues (personally I want to put this at the bottom of the list but that’s procrastination at its finest)
- Think about OTHERS before I think about myself
- Blog MORE, and make them useful to people other than myself
- Finish one or two of the projects I’ve started but haven’t completed yet
- Start back to the gym and actually GO regularly
- Spend more time in FL with my boy
- Start a video blog of my rants (ala ‘What Grinds my Gears’)
- Fish w/my Dad and Brother more often
- Read a book a month (off this list — PMBA Recommended Reading List)
- Drink more (yes drink more — people seem to like people that drink, I’m currently a peer pressure drinker)
- Make concerted effort to be faithful to myself and those in my life
- Run (doesn’t sound like a lot but for a 350+lbs guy its a MAJOR accomplishment) / Would like to run a 5k one day

Checking out NextGEN Gallery plugin for WordPress (duh). Pretty simpe to use once your read all the instructions. Uploaded a few quick galleries to test it out. Might have to look at uploading all my ‘good’ stuff to my server and putting the rest on flickr, Ive just been really lazy about uploading my files to flickr. Maybe something to do next weekend.
Tell you what though, looking at these pics and then talking to a local photograher this past week makes me want to get back into the game. Canon if your listening, Im in the market for a new 50D to replace the broken XT I have in my camera bag in my closet that I have YET to send back to you. I think it broke 8 months ago maybe? (doesnt ’see’ a lens is attached anymore so its 100% manual and sorry that sucks! ) So if you want to send me a ‘demo’ kit unit to review I would love to provide vital feedback to the interwebs.
Let me know what you think:

What the fuck? As a non-believer that normally doesn’t talk bad about the Pope (just in case), this is some pretty crazy church shit right here. I mean come on. Tell people in one of the most AIDS ravaged countries to NOT use condoms to protect themselves is kind of insane. Honestly those that follow his ‘leadership’ and then get HIV/AIDS should be able to sue the Vatican since they were just doing what the Pope told them to do, right?
I mean come on this makes no sense to me. This is a guy that looks a little like what I imagine the Devil should look like mixed with a little Hitler and he is telling the Catholic community in sub-Saharan Africa and world wide that using condoms is not the way to save themselves. His beliefs mean that even if your wife/husband has AIDS or HIV you are not to use condoms.
I’m all for finding the ONE and being faithful (I talk the talk I have a hard time walking the walk), but come on. Religious zealots like this (yes I just called the Pope a religious zealot) are what is wrong with the world. Don’t even get me started on Pat Robertson. Instead of using their ‘power’ for good they use it for EVIL.
The ‘church’ has its place in peoples lives, its helps them ‘believe’ they are loved and are better people for that. And honestly its a great place to network. But telling people in a country where over 20+ million people have HIV or AIDS that they cant use condoms is just stupid.
End Rant

So last Tuesday (Feb 3rd) I managed to slip, fall and in the process mess up my lower back pretty bad. So bad that I got to go to the hospital in an ambulance on one of those damn completely uncomfortable back boards. Side note—- how is a hard rigid board that makes your back feel worse, suppose to make things ‘better’ and don’t get me started on that C-collar that is not designed for people like me with no neck! Back on topic, I spent 10hrs in the ER after getting a cat scan and a bunch of x rays (which was not fun since I had to keep rolling over for different angles). All scans came back clear and was told that due to my prior back issues that I have had for years, this fall has overly stressed the muscles and spine and that it will ‘just fix it self’ after some time of rest.

Yep that’s what I said, AADD!
Its amazing how much I put up with and have thrust on me in a single day! Yes I know my position dictates that I handle everything with a smile and an OK I will get that done, but at the end of some days I’m a wreck! Hell its 10pm I’m back at the office again! I left around 730, rushed Heathers glasses that she left in my car a few days ago back to her house in Chesapeake, went home ate some food that wasn’t good for me (managing to forget that I needed to start a load of laundry) and then rushed back to the office to finish up stuff I didn’t finish before I left. Mondays wouldn’t be that bad if I could JUST REMEMBER SHIT! Today was a compete information overload and had me going so many directions it was crazy. Hell my office door was like a damn revolving door, before one person left another person was coming in with another crisis! (before any strange comments or stares tomorrow in the office YES I LOVE MY JOB and wouldn’t really change a thing!)
