Well finally broke down and spent the money to get the bug tinted. Been putting it off since the day I bought her. She looks SWEET! Supposed to be 20% all the way around, which is slightly darker than VA legal. Unfortunately, per the nice Va Beach officer that pulled me over on Friday he informed me that per his little meter its 11% on the front windows! Yea little bit more than the 50% that VA code allows on the front. Got off with a warning, but depending on any further attention might get it re-tinted to 35%, but that’s a few tickets down the road.
I had it done at TNT Tinting in Va Beach. They did a great job and had it done faster than they thought they would. Due to the back window on the bug being so huge and misshaped it took them little over 2 hrs to do the whole car. Price was little more than their current special, but I took advantage of their 3 payment system since I’m cheap/frugal/poor.
